Through the Bible

With tiny meditations on each chapter
By Amos R. Wells, 1908

The next 27 pages from the side menu include tiny meditations on each chapter of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation.

Do you like to dig treasure from old books? These tiny meditations are found in a book, now out of print, entitled "The Living Bible" and written by Amos R. Wells back in 1908. I think you will agree that they are too precious to keep hidden.

A unique feature of this work is the skillful use of the word, My, in the heading of each day's reading to make a self-application of the scriptures read.

Suggestions for use:

First, let me say that these meditations have warmed my heart many times and therefore I share them with you. May God bless you and draw you near as you spend quality time in His Word each day!

1. By reading one Bible chapter a day, these meditations will take you through the entire Bible in 169 weeks.

2. If you are among those (as I am) who like to read through the Bible each year, these meditations will help you summarize and make a self-application of the chapters read each day.

3. Whatever plan of Bible reading you follow, you may want to try reading the corresponding tiny meditation before and/or after each chapter is read from the Bible.

4. Dr. Wells comments in the opening of his book, "The prayer element enters into most of these tiny meditations, and it is hoped that they will be read, as they certainly have been written, in the spirit of prayer...Let our communion with the Most High be genuine communion, our talking with our Father, and---wonder of wonders!---His talking with us. It is by means of this true prayer that the Bible becomes a living book, and we enter into the life which is life indeed."

...Now you can begin a special spiritual journey by making your selection of a specific Bible book and chapter from the side menu. May God bless you richly as you meditate upon and make spiritual application of His Word to your heart on a daily basis!
